The UPONTOURISM Vision, Strategy, Research for innovative and sustainable tourism ,Interdepartmental Center, represents a multidisciplinary reality of research, training and dissemination about tourism that capitalizes scientific and didactic experiences gained within UPO.

The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and the critical situations that have heavily affected this sector require a joint effort to face future challenges and design the scenarios, within which tourism supply and demand will have to move.

In this context, UPONTOURISM offers activities and services aimed at providing effective and innovative support to decision makers, entrepreneurs and communities, in order to achieve shared objectives to: analyse problems and opportunities; outline tourism and cultural development plans and programs; identify actions and methods for relaunching and economic competitiveness.
